In a Partial Nail Avulsion (or PNA), your Registered Chiropodist will:
- Freeze the problem toe with a local anesthetic,
- Remove the offending side of the nail,
- Apply a chemical so the problem won’t grow back,
- Then bandage it up.
- We send you home with simple at-home-care instructions and will have you return the next week so we can ensure proper healing.
In a Total Nail Avulsion (or TNA), your Chiropodist will repeat the above steps, except your practitioner will remove the entire nail.
