What a sensational summer! We’re thrilled to share the following news:
Highlights of our family trip to Italy:
We can describe our two week family vacation in Italy in one word. Favoloso! (That’s Italian for “fabulous”).
Rather than staying in a hotel, we opted for a 4-bedroom house in Barga, with a patio where we enjoyed our morning coffee together, and yard where we played games and kicked around a soccer ball. Our travels took us to Pisa, Lucca, Florence, Venice, Cinque Terre, and Rome. Everywhere we went, we enjoyed fresh markets, local food, and of course our daily Gelato. The weather was great and so was the beach in Cinque Terre.
Update on “The Girls”:
Kaitlin will be starting her 3rd year in the prestigious Podiatry Program at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, Scotland. Closer to home, Rachel will be starting her first year in the Nursing Program at Brock University, and our youngest daughter, Sarah, will be starting Grade 11 at Guido deBres Christian High School. Would someone tell us please, where the time goes?
Welcome to the Werkman Chiropody Team, Kelley:
We’re thrilled to introduce Kelley as our Oakville Foot Clinic Practical Podiatric Assistant. Kelley’s clinical skills and knowledge are reflected in her educational background and practical experience as a Chiropodist.
Such a small world! Rick and Kelley have known each other since 1990, when Kelley was practicing Chiropody at Welland Hospital and Rick was completing a clinical placement in the last year of schooling. When Welland Hospital’s funding was discontinued, Kelley made the tough decision not to renew her Chiropody license. Kelley was offered a position as a flight attendant with Sky Service where she worked for more than 15 years. She and husband, Scott are the proud parents of a daughter and son.
We are looking forward to working with Kelley and growing the Werkman Chiropody practice in Oakville by adding more clinical services and complementary products.
