Do you have a callus on your foot that seems to be filled with tiny black dots? It sounds like you have a wart. Don’t worry; we can help. Werkman, Boven & Associates treat warts daily on feet of all ages! Our chiropodists can offer a variety of solutions.

swift emblation therapy

We offer an innovative treatment called Swift Emblation Therapy (or “Swift” for short). Swift uses microwave energy to target below the skin’s surface. With a short, targeted energy burst, the body’s immune system is kicked into gear to fight the virus behind warts.

Another treatment option is Falknor’s Needling Procedure. This procedure, although new to our clinic, has been around since 1969. Like Swift, needling utilizes the body’s immune response to fight the virus that is causing warts. To learn more, book an appointment with a chiropodist today.

Yet another and the most common treatment is the frequent application of caustics. This must be routinely applied to the lesion, whether salicylic acid or cantharidin(e). The professionals at Werkman, Boven Foot Clinic will debride – or remove the damaged tissue – and then apply the chemical every few weeks. In between appointments, we also required a bit of homework to continue to apply a chemical.

Last but not least, we offer cryotherapy. In this treatment, we use a CryoProbe pen to accurately blast the lesion with Nitrous Oxide. This will cause ice and electrolyte crystals to form within the cells, along with dehydration and shock, which aid in reducing the size of the wart.

As you can see, we offer a variety of treatment options for your warts. Contact us at Werkman, Boven & Associates to book a consult and treatment today!
